Preliminary results were presented at the Neurosciences and Music Conference in Boston in June 2017.
Currently, she is an independent contractor of Abaton Integrative Medicine where she collaborates with a team of health professionals to serve a variety of client groups, and runs “Starlings: A Music Therapy Group for baby and their adult”. She also provides individual and group music therapy with older adults in long term care. Melissa also promotes music therapy and music involvement for all ages as a community advocate. She was a guest speaker at the Oakville Trafalgar Rotary Club and led an experiential music session during “Wellness Week” at St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School.
