Beverly joined the mentorship program in her third year of studying Health Sciences at McMaster. From a young age, she always had a passion for music and has strong interests in singing, piano and guitar. As a mentee of the Music Therapy Academy, Beverly aims to learn more about music therapy techniques and how music therapy can be used to achieve health outcomes, especially in mental health. As part of her project course, she will be exploring the proactivity in campus wellness programs across Southern Ontario Universities and how the implementation of initiatives, such as group music therapy, can be used to improve and achieve positive mental health outcomes in undergraduate students.
