The Music Therapy Academy (MTAcademy) operates out of Hamilton, Ontario which we recognize and acknowledge is located on the traditional territories of the Mississauga and Haudenosaunee nations, and within the lands protected by the “Dish With One Spoon” wampum agreement.

The MTAcademy was initiated in response to a growing need and request for further education about music therapy techniques and approaches.
The MTAcademy provides workshops and webinars both in-person and online.

The MTAcademy aims to #RaiseTheBarInHealthcare through education, mentorship, research, and engaging with the community. #CollaborationIsKey in reaching this goal.

In Canada, the profession of music therapy is regulated by the Canadian Association of Music Therapists (CAMT). Many certified music therapists based in Ontario use the act of psychotherapy in their work, and are also regulated by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Both of these organizations require continuing professional development, as do most healthcare professional bodies worldwide. The MTAcademy are happy to help others reach their professional development goals!
