Outline and Objectives
This webinar seeks to enhance your guitar skills in clinical settings. The guitar is an instrument that is popular around the world and is a desired instrument for both therapists and clients. Expand upon traditional guitar techniques and learn alternative methods to help successfully use the guitar with clients.
Throughout the 3 learning modules, accredited music therapist Daniel Allen demonstrates the application of 10 tools to be added to your Six String Tool Kit. Daniel recently wrote a research paper while completing his Masters in Music Therapy degree where he identified and outlined the ways that guitar can be increasingly used in clinical settings. This research, combined with his experiences in the field, has served as the inspiration for this webinar.
The primary aim of this webinar is to provide the viewer with additional clinical guitar tools that can be added to their overall clinical toolbox. In each module, Daniel demonstrates each technique to a fellow colleague through a “hands on” approach. Supplementary educational documents and resources are also displayed & provided for print throughout each module, and the viewer is given time to practice and review each technique at their own pace. This is designed in order to reduce pressure, and enhance learning.
